HISTORY
For two decades the Traralgon Golf Club has conducted one of country Victoria’s most prestigious Pro Am golf events.
The 2018 Latrobe City WIN TV Pro Am will take place on Thursday 08 March and Friday 09 March.

The two-day tournament has a purse of $30 000 and provides a superb training ground for young professional golfers, both Men and Women.
The 2018 Pro Am includes a Women's Pro Am with a separate purse of $5,000 for the Women's winner.
Many of the professional golfers who have played in the Traralgon Pro Am, go on to play on the European, Asian, or US PGA tour circuits.
Traralgon Golf Club has been the focal point of golf in Gippsland for many years and is one of the success stories of the Victorian PGA Pro-am Circuit.

The two-day Traralgon Pro-am was first held in 1991 In conjunction withGreg Norman sponsors WIN Television and Latrobe City, it has been a regular event on the Victorian PGA calendar since its inception.
The Traralgon Pro Am commenced in 1976 as a 36 hole event and then in 1977 became a fully accredited professional tournament played over 72 holes. The event went in to recess for 10 years before returning as the Latrobe Valley Pro Am played at Morwell and Traralgon. Since 1993, the event has been played as a 36 hole event at Traralgon.

One of Australian golf’s biggest names Greg Norman won his second professional event at the Traralgon Loy Yang Classic in 1978. In 1979 he returned to successfully defend his title. In those days it was a fully fledged four day tournament.
Ian Stanley, Wayne Grady, Ian Baker-Finch and Peter Senior are just a few of the many high profile names to have graced the fairways. The Traralgon Pro-am is recognised as the most successful event of its kind in country Victoria.
