Your donation is supporting THE Traralgon Golf Club MASTER PLAN Foundation

The TGC Master Plan will transform our course to continually attract players into the long term – better golf is the core to sustainable success.

TGC have set up an account with the Australian Sports Foundation providing TGC members, sponsors or other benefactors an opportunity to make a tax-deductible donation solely towards course capital improvement works, guided by our Course Master Plan.

The works involve rebuilding substandard tees, bunkers and greens, realign fairways and address boundary issues, all guided by the course Master Plan and sound governance approved by our Board. The new hole layouts set a transformational platform for our golf to be even more enjoyable, based on the time-honoured principles of strategic golf design.

The Master Plan addresses all boundary issues and will deliver improvements that will noticeably improve our golf. For example, the new 7th hole addresses a boundary issue plus creates an icon par 5 for members, and delivers a 19th hole to be used when a hole is temporarily removed for our next improvement work – a key aspect of our first initiative. In terms of tax-deductible donations, the Australian Tax Office only provides tax-deductible donations to sporting clubs via an ASF account. This is a fantastic opportunity for donors to make tax-deductible contributions that will be strictly allocated to advancing our Master Plan projects – funds will not be used to supplement our operating costs.

Giving back is simple and seamless via the direct link below. Some key points are:

• TGC enjoys great support from volunteers whose effort accounts for about half our ‘funding’ of course maintenance and improvements (without this contribution our subs would need to double).

• We also receive substantial support from sponsors – local businesses who support their community.

• Donations currently account for less than 1% of TGC funding.

• The new ASF account allows those who may not be able to volunteer or sponsor, to still make a valuable contribution to our community-based club by way of a tax-deductible donation.

• Donations will be acknowledged unless a donor requests that they be anonymous.

• The ASF will provide donors with a tax invoice for tax deduction purposes.
