Latrobe Valley’s Premier Golf Course

The Traralgon Golf Course is the premier golf course in the Latrobe Valley which sits at the entrance to Traralgon which is 165 kms east of Melbourne.

It is close to the shopping district, motels and restaurants.

Hole 1

Gentle opening hole where the Tee shot should favour the left side of the Fairway for best angle into Green.

Hole 2

Par 5 with the Tee shot over the lake to a wide Fairway. 3rd shot is played to a narrow two-tiered Green; bunkered on both sides.

Hole 3

Shortest Par 4 on the Course where the Tee shot should favour right hand side of the Fairway to provide best angle for the shot into the Green.

Hole 4

Shortest Par 4 on the Course where the Tee shot should favour right hand side of the Fairway to provide best angle for the shot into the Green.

Hole 5

Excellent short Par 3 where Tee shot should be fired left of the Flagstick for easiest putts on a tricky Green.

Hole 6

First of successive Par 5 where two solid shots will leave an easy wedge into the Green.

Hole 7

Longest of 3 front nine Par 5’s where approach shot should be aimed short and right of the flag on what is most difficult green to putt on the Course.

Hole 8

Attractive Par 3 over water requiring a Mid Iron for most players to a large Green.

Hole 9

Blind Tee shot which should be aimed up the right to leave approach shot to a back to front sloping Green.

Hole 10

Longest Par 3 on Course requiring a Wood for most players that should be aimed at right half of Green.

Hole 11

Strong Par 4 playing over a hill to a wide Fairway. Approach shots should favour right side of Green.

Hole 12

Shortish Par 4 playing uphill with the approach to a large two-tiered Green.

Hole 13

Tightest Driving hole on Course which will require a Mid Iron approach to a raised Green.

Hole 14

Nice Par 4 where Tee shot should favour left side followed by a slightly downhill approach to a Green that falls away at the back.

Hole 15

Last Par 3 where a Tee shot should favour left side of Green from where ball kicks down into middle of Green.

Hole 16

Only Par 5 on the back nine which is straightaway requiring 2 straight shots followed by an easy Pitch to a wide but shallow Green.

Hole 17

Good Par 4 where only a straight Drive will do, followed by a downhill approach that should avoid Bunker on the right.

Hole 18

Excellent closing hole requiring a Drive up the right followed by an approach kept below the Flag.

Narrow Fairways

The course itself has perfectly maintained Santa Anna Couch fairways.

Most visitors will find the 5800-metre course challenging with its narrow fairways requiring accurate tee shots.

Visitors Welcome

Visitors are most welcome with mixed competitions on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays. Ladies also have competition days on Wednesday.
